Dr. Xiongfei Fu is a Professor at Shenzhen Institutes of Advanced Technology (SIAT), Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the Director of the Shenzhen Institute of Synthetic Biology at SIAT. He primarily engages in multiple interdisciplinary fields including synthetic biology, quantitative biology, statistical physics, and complex systems, focusing on the role of stochastic fluctuations in the formation of ordered spatial structures within bacterial single cells and multicellular systems, through integrating quantitative theories with synthetic reconstruction (bottom-up assembly), to demonstrate principles of emergence across scales.
